Sometimes the BEST food finds happen completely by accident! 😂

We were driving around Las Vegas trying to decide where to have lunch before the wedding when we passed Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food. Kevin immediately said, “That sounds good!” 🌺

Mind you… we had ALREADY passed it. 😂 We actually made it to another restaurant, pulled in, and then Kevin decided, “Nope, I think we need to go back to that Hawaiian place.” 🤣

And I have to admit… he was RIGHT! 😂👏

This was SOOO good!!

I ordered the chicken katsu, tempura shrimp and pork egg rolls, along with rice and their Hawaiian-style macaroni salad. Of course, Kevin got samples of everything on my plate too. 😂

Kevin ordered the teriyaki chicken and Kalua pig, and both were delicious. The teriyaki chicken had that wonderful grilled char with a sweet, savory glaze, and the Kalua pig was tender and flavorful.

We also tried the vegetables, and I had a Hawaiian Sun Strawberry Guava Nectar to complete the whole Hawaiian experience. 🌺🍓

The portions were HUGE, the food came out quickly, everything tasted fresh, and it was exactly what we needed—a casual lunch that didn’t take forever but was still something fun and different while traveling.

Kevin swears this was WAY better than the restaurant we almost ate at. 😂 Since we never actually ate there, I guess we’ll never know…but I will admit that turning the car around was definitely worth it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would absolutely eat at Mo’ Bettahs again!

Cashing in our FREE birthday desserts!

And apparently celebrating with ALLLLLL the shrimp!

Unlimited shrimp at Red Lobster was SO good… although I’m pretty sure we took the word unlimited a little too seriously. We are STUFFED!

Lobster dip, shrimp, shrimp Alfredo, more shrimp… and of course we somehow still found room for our birthday desserts. Because birthday calories don’t count, right?!

Another fun little birthday-month celebration with my favorite guy.

Another Franklin food find! 😋 We tried Little Hats Italian Market and overall it was SO good!

🍝 I had the fettuccine — really good, although next time I think I’ll leave off the one with the peas. Apparently I’m not sure how I feel about smushed peas in my pasta 😂🤣 Still delicious, just probably not my choice next time!

🧀 The fried ravioli was SOOO good!! But fair warning 🔥 — that yellow/orange sauce drizzled with the red sauce is SPICY! 🌶️ If you’re like me and love flavor but NOT a lot of heat, ask them to leave that part off. I definitely will next time! 😂

🍝 And those MEATBALLS!!! Oh my goodness. SO GOOD! 😍 Tender, flavorful, covered in sauce and cheese… those are absolutely worth ordering again.

🥖 And of course, give me some good Italian bread to soak up all that sauce and I’m happy! 😂

Overall, we really enjoyed it and will absolutely go back — now I just know exactly how I’ll tweak my order next time. That’s what trying new restaurants is all about! ❤️🇮🇹

Okay… we went BACK to BrickTop’s – Franklin Cool Springs and I’m starting to think this place is going to become one of our regulars. 😂❤️

Last time I posted about it, several people told us:

👉 “You HAVE to try the mashed potatoes!”
👉 “Get the Brussels sprouts!”

Wellllll… YOU WERE RIGHT. 🙌😂

🥔 The creamy mashed potatoes — SOOOO good.
🥬 The crispy Brussels sprouts — absolutely delicious.
🦀 And of course, I HAD to get the crab cake again because I loved it so much the first time. And yep… still SO GOOD. 😍

Kevin went with the burger and fries 🍔🍟, and we also had the Deviled Eggs & Millionaire’s Bacon — because apparently we needed to try half the menu this time. 😂

This is exactly why I love getting restaurant recommendations from y’all! When you tell me what we need to order next time, I LISTEN! 🤣

⭐️ BrickTop’s is definitely staying on our Franklin favorites list.

🍔 Laurie’s Local Food Find: Eighth & Main – Columbia, TN 🍔

After hearing so many people rave about Eighth & Main, we finally made it over to try it for ourselves!

Funny story… we kept looking down Highway 31 because around here we all seem to call that “Main Street” too! 😂 It finally dawned on us that they meant South Main. Oops! LOL

First impression? Very welcoming atmosphere. You walk in and order at the counter, then head upstairs where there are plenty of tables, comfortable booths (our favorite!), a self-serve fountain drink station, and a full bar area.

🥬 Let’s talk about those Crispy Brussels Sprouts… WOW!
They were absolutely delicious and may have been my favorite thing we ordered. Crispy, flavorful, and worth ordering every single time.

🍔 We each ordered a burger and fries, and honestly…
SO. GOOD.
The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were cooked perfectly. One of those meals where you keep saying, “Wow, this is really good!” after every few bites. 😋

👍 One thing I appreciated was that they don’t ask for a tip before you’ve even received your food or service, which seems to be becoming rare these days.

Since we’re former restaurant people (and I personally spent years serving tables,granted many years ago), I always believe in tipping. We did leave a tip, but because the service model is more self-serve, we based it on the experience. Our food was delivered, but no one came back to check on us, ask if we needed anything, or refill waters. Not a complaint—just an observation. For us, those extra touches are what usually move a good tip into a great tip.

✔️ Comfortable atmosphere
✔️ We will definitely be back

And yes… next time I’ll try to remember the ½-off coupon that was sitting in my purse the entire time. 😂
