- First off, professional salespeople know the most important asset in business is customers. But, before I tell you the top tip to avoid commission breath, I want to share a quick story about someone in the mortgage industry that brought in $60,000 in 30 days without even opening their mouth. How did they do it, you ask? Postcards! They sent a postcard with a quick message letting the customer/prospect know they appreciated and thought of them because interest rates were low. Now for the number one tip to avoid commission breath: develop relationship breath. Stop talking about yourself (commission breath) and start showing you care about them (relationship breath). It doesn’t matter if you are talking with prospects over a webinar, phone, text, or face to face. A prospect/customer can smell commission breath the minute you start:
- Talking about yourself
- Pushing your products
- Bragging on services
- He cared about them as a person
- He had a solution that would save them money

I am grateful and thankful for Kevin driving when it started raining bad on our drive down here, he told me to pull over, and we’d switch and I thought, *I can drive* lol….but he *likes* driving in the storm smh but I did anyway, and literally 10 min later there was 2 cars that spun out and one went in the median in the middle, and other in the ditch on the right, and the other cars all around us slammed on breaks and slid…..I was definitely glad in that moment he was driving and handled the car.

They were super busy, waitress was very nice but sat awhile without water, but I also overheard they were understaffed like many places. She was great! Food was excellent!!! We had crab 🦀 dip, I had #crab cakes w #asparagus, Danielle had jambalaya pasta, Kevin had fried green tomatoes, and gumbolaya soup. McClain watched us all! Lol ugh🤦♀️such discipline for his show coming up! But we felt bad eating such yummy food in front of him 💖
