Laurie's Lessons

10 Tips On Why You Should Not Post Negativity Or Complain

Laurie’s Lessons

Negativity breeds negativity: Complaining or posting negatively can create a toxic environment and discourage others.

Think about if you just signed up a super excited customer or associate – and then they join the group and first thing they see is something major negative – what do you think that makes them think about their recent decision?

Undermines team morale: A positive and supportive atmosphere is crucial for success. Negative posts can dampen enthusiasm and motivation.

Damages your personal brand: Your online presence reflects on you. Consistent negativity can make you appear unprofessional and unapproachable.

Destroys trust: Complaining about the company or products can erode trust among your team members and potential customers.

Focus on solutions, not problems: Instead of complaining, focus on finding solutions and sharing positive experiences.

Respect the group’s purpose: The group is meant to uplift and support each other. Negative posts disrupt this positive environment.

Seek private support: If you’re facing challenges, reach out to your upline or mentor privately for guidance and support. ANY negative or complaining (as there WILL be times and situations you have that in ANY company) — needs to ONLY go upline – not downline and definitely not crossline.

Lead by example: Be a positive influence and encourage others to share their successes and celebrate their wins.

Remember the bigger picture: Your success is tied to the success of your team. Focus on building relationships and fostering a supportive community.

Practice gratitude: Shift your focus to the positive aspects of your business and express gratitude for the opportunities you have.

The Empowering “Out”- The Secret Weapon of Prospecting Champions

Laurie’s Lessons – Have you ever felt like your outreach messages are hitting a brick wall? You pour your heart into crafting the perfect pitch, only to be met with silence or a polite “not interested.” Here’s the truth: the key to successful prospecting isn’t about forcing the close, it’s about unlocking the power of the “out.”

Imagine this: You’re scaling a mountain. You wouldn’t attempt the summit without proper gear and a clear path, would you? Prospecting is similar. The “out” is your safety rope, your map, and your compass. It allows you to navigate the terrain of potential customers with confidence and respect.

So, why is the “out” so powerful?

  • It Shifts the Focus: Forget desperate pleas for a sale. The “out” lets you focus on genuine connection. You’re not chasing a “yes” at all costs, but rather exploring a potential fit. It creates a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.
  • It Empowers You: The “out” gives you control. You’re not waiting for someone else’s approval. You’re proactively seeking those genuinely interested in what you offer. This confidence translates into your communication, making you sound more authentic and persuasive.
  • It Eliminates Resistance: The “out” disarms objections before they even arise. It acknowledges that your offering wouldn’t be a perfect fit for everyone. This proactive approach disrupts the typical sales dynamic and fosters a more open conversation.
  • It Qualifies Leads Faster: The “out” acts as a filter. Those who aren’t interested will readily opt out, saving you valuable time and energy. It allows you to focus your efforts on those truly intrigued by what you have to share.

How to Master the Art of the “Out”:

  • Embrace Transparency: Be upfront about your intentions. Don’t mislead with aggressive pitches. Instead, say something like, “Hey, I’m exploring a new product and wanted to see if you might be interested in learning more.”
  • Offer Value First: Focus on providing a benefit, even if it’s just a conversation. For example, “I’m curious about your experience in [their field]. Perhaps you could offer some insights, while I share a new approach I’m exploring.”
  • Keep it Simple: Avoid overwhelming the recipient with a barrage of information. A concise message with a clear “out” is more likely to spark genuine interest.
  • Respect the Response: If someone says no, thank them for their time and move on gracefully. Respecting their decision fosters goodwill and opens the door for future opportunities.

The “out” isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength. It demonstrates confidence, respect, and a focus on building genuine connections. By embracing the “out,” you’ll transform your prospecting from a pushy sales tactic into a powerful tool for building relationships and attracting ideal customers. Remember, the journey to the top is easier when you’re well-equipped and open to collaboration. So, grab your metaphorical “out” and start your ascent with confidence!

Are you consistenly inconsistent?

➡️➡️ Are you consistently inconsistent?

🔵 Do you go to.a live event, then some training, then read a book, even teach what you learn, maybe even speak on stage about it! You have LOTS of content, right?

🔵 What are you doing to get people to buy your program? Or join your email list? Are you regularly blogging, writing to your social medial wall, sending notes to your list…..

🔵 Your calendar shows you are booked and busy. You have lots of podcasts and ebooks downloaded but hadn’t read or listened to yet, as you hadn’t had time.

🔵 Are you getting to the actual planning, execution, and actions to take you to the next level? You have to actually start taking action if you want to see results!

🟩🟩🟩🟩 Consistently 🟩🟩🟩🟩

🔵 Consistently produce content. Blog, Podcast, Facebook, YouTube. It needs to be timely, it needs to be relevant, and it needs to be consistent.

🔵 Consistently share that content with your email list. You don’t have to write a book and it doesn’t have to be extravagant! Take the topic from your content, make a creative subject line, then add a few lines from the content, and then link to it on your website. This brings more traction to your website as well.

🔵 Consistently add people to your email list so it grows. People that you meet, that you network with, that you speak to at an event. Add them to your list. Use your social to grow your email list. Talking to people at the other places? Tell them about your free ebook. Consistently.

🔵 You must have a consistent outreaching plan. Don’t just grow your followers, and friends talk to them! Message 5 people per day on Facebook and LinkedIn to start conversations, REAL conversations, and then come back to me in a few months and tell me all about your new success.

🔵 Consistent measuring. Do you check to see how many new people you got on your list in a month? Do you have a system to see how many opened it? Or how many clicked the links? Do you check to see how many you converted to paying clients?

We can go to training. We can follow top leaders. We can buy the right software and tools. But if we don’t take action, we will not see results.
If we are not consistent – we will not see results. We need to plan and implement.

The Psychology of Selling n Influence Techniques

Focus on Needs, Not Features: People buy to solve problems and achieve desires. You want to  understand your  customer’s psychology. Learn to ask insightful questions to uncover their specific needs and challenges. Then, position your product or service as the solution, not just a list of features.

Become a Master Listener: Selling is a conversation, not a monologue. Train yourself to truly listen and understand what your prospect is saying (and not saying). Pay attention to verbal and nonverbal cues. Effective listening builds rapport and allows you to tailor your approach to their specific situation.

Embrace the Power of Storytelling: Stories are memorable and impactful. Learn to craft compelling narratives that showcase the benefits of your product or service. Stories can illustrate how your offering has helped others and how it can solve the prospect’s problems.

Practice Ethical Influence Techniques: Influence is a powerful tool, but it should be used ethically. Learn about persuasion techniques like reciprocity, social proof, and framing, but emphasize using them to build trust and demonstrate value, not manipulate.

Role-Playing and Active Learning: Sales is a skill that improves with practice. Incorporate role-playing exercises into your training program. This allows you to practice your communication skills, handle objections, and refine your influencing techniques in a safe environment.

Power Of Positive Attitude And Self Motivation

The Power of Positive Attitude & Self-Motivation

  1. Challenge negativity: Catch yourself when you fall into negative self-talk. Instead of dwelling on what could go wrong, reframe the situation to a more positive outlook.
  2. Gratitude practice: Keep a gratitude journal and write down a few things you’re thankful for each day. This could be anything from big achievements to a nice cup of coffee. Focusing on the good things trains your brain to seek out the positive.
  3. Positive affirmations: Repeating positive affirmations can be a powerful tool. Choose statements that resonate with you, like “I am capable” or “I will achieve my goals.” Say them with conviction to boost your self-belief.
  4. Focus on progress, not perfection: Don’t get discouraged by setbacks. Celebrate small wins and focus on the progress you’re making. Remember, every step forward is a step in the right direction.
  5. Surround yourself with positivity: Spend time with people who uplift and encourage you. Limit your exposure to negativity, and seek out inspiration from those who radiate a positive attitude.

Have you ever seen that show Kitchen Nightmares?

Every week a failing restaurant calls in world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay to help them.

Over the course of the episode, he tears apart everything from the decor to the management to the menu itself, and then he re-opens the restaurant to the general public.

While this makes for great TV…

I have heard it’s actually terrible for the restaurant owners!

Not only do they get embarrassed on national television…

Many also wind up losing their business after the fact anyway!

4/5 restaurants, I read, featured on the show closed – and most of them shut their doors within months of Gordon coming through.

There’s a MUCH better way to help local restaurants – and with my method, you can make recurring monthly income in the process!

Let me explain…

Thousands of birthdays are celebrated every single year in your local area.

That’s why focusing on birthdays is an incredibly effective marketing strategy.

But most small business owners are completely blind to this.

Have a fishbowl to collect name & address for sending greeting cards on their birthday and other special occasions…..(emails & cell to create lists for daily/weekly specials) but on the cards, then also offer them a #FREEGIFT of some sort!

Not (what most business owners think) 15% off your meal for your birthday – which says they HAVE to buy something) but something TOTALLY FREE.

(another tip, don’t make it that day only, many people have plans w family or whatever, give them a week)

Like a FREE desert, or even meal…..(same not requiring anything though!

That is the catch!

Most business owners don’t want to do it…..just incase some cash in, and a few might…..BUT

when you add a requirement on top of a GIFT, it is NO LONGER a gift!

Many people, like me, you get a card/coupon like that in the mail, you maybe hold on to it, in case you decide to use it, if it is something you really like but many times, you just simply throw it out!

Now, granted, most times, if you give someone a #FREEDESERT or even a #FREEMEAL they are probably not coming in by thierself or only getting that, so they will spend more money w you anyway, but the key is, it wasn’t required!

You didn’t #NEGATE the #GIFT

So now, the restaurant will make more money from the sale for the extra effort. And with my Cards program, the restaurant could become an #affiliate and earn $ referring their clients too, that choose to sign up, when they get a birthday card, maybe they see, they should send cards to their clients in their company, and so on 🙂

This actually happened to us personally w a #Boot company, sent us a totally no strings gift card – we could have spent just that amount, but of course my husband went online and found something he wanted that was about 10x’s the amount of the gift card that store “gifted” us….Think they thought it was worth it?

So clothing & shoe stores and other shopping can use this same idea as well!

This is one of the biggest things, I teach, coach, and train, and do business consulting with many major corporations….And it is one of the techniques I have used in running the several businesses I own, to be VERY successful over the last 30+ years…..
