What are Leadership Qualities?

Leadership qualities are, in a sense, mentorship qualities.

Leadership qualities are needed in any industry because the quality of business relationships, directly correlates with success in any business.

Let’s take Larry & Taylor Thompson for example; they are Network Marketing veterans of 50 years. They are in the top echelon of the MLM industry, and their leadership is trusted and well known.

Here’s what they had to say;

“Leadership is taught by being an example.” Lead by ‘doing’ the things you tell others to do.”

Quite frankly, leadership is built upon by strengthening relationships and the human connection.

First of all, there are two types of Relationships;

Relationships with others and;

Relationship with yourself

Probably the most important would be #2 relationship with self, and here’s why…

Our focus becomes all about the sale and not about;

what the person really needs and;

how we can help them with the service or product we sell.

Hence the Human Connection starts with yourself.

How well do you know yourself?

Indeed, how you respond to someone in how they treat you, is an indicator of how you deal with your own life circumstances. Consequently, this determines the impact you make on a relationship whether good or bad.

Larry and Taylor Thompson are exceptional examples of and exude powerful leadership qualities.

Superheroes have stories

Every superhero has a story….and while all superheroes don’t all wear capes, they all usually took some sort of tragedy, and instead of playing the *victim* role, they USED that TRAGEDY to LAUNCH them into SUCCESS and to HELP OTHERS.

Batman was a child walking on the street at night with his family, when they were robbed. The thief out of cruelty shot his mom and dad, killing them. Leaving him alone to create the rest of his story without them.

That event thrust Bruce Wayne into a life of seeking justice against criminals.

What is your tragedy/story?

How are you going to help others through your tragedy/story?

What are you going to do to make a difference for GOOD in the world because of your tragedy/story?

When are you going to do it? Don’t wait till it’s too late……

*someone* might be *waiting* to hear your story – to HELP THEM.

Do you have the power to change it?

Next time you moan and complain about things you cannot control, next time you expect someone or something to be done for you or given to you, next time you are not grateful for the blessings you have, and next time you want TO QUIT on your self and your DREAMS remember this.

Get over it, pull up your boot straps, and thank GOD you have shoes on your feet and not bottles.

If something in your life is not going the perfect way you planned, then if you have the power to change it – do so! Do NOT talk about it, text about it, or think and dwell on it – that only attracts more of the same to you!

If you don’t have the power to change it, then tell God about it, or someone that does have the power – and then *leave it there*. If you don’t have the power, there is no reason for you to dwell on it.

If you do have the power to change it or do something about it – then DO IT! It is your life, it is up to YOU.

YOU CANNOT HELP SOMEONE ELSE UNTIL YOU FIRST ARE ABLE TO HELP YOURSELF!!!

Funny…..(not really, but truth)….

How life can *hit* you *so much*…..

I have always been a *work-a-holic* — I am sure always will lol. My life is pretty scheduled, 7am-midnight almost every day. But, the last few years, with *so many* major and significant losses in my life….

Feb 2013 – husband of 20 years

July 2013 – My Grandpa (dad’s dad)

July 2013 – Our 13 year old Boxer “Bullet* family dog)

2014 – My Father in Law (who we took care of in our garage apt for many years)

2015 – oldest daughter diagnosed w cancer (she won! thank the Lord, and now healthy)

Mar 2016 – My Mom.

And through that – other close friends and family lost or major *issues*- has the reality of the *take care and spend time with those you love, and TELL them you love them, cuz you never know when you will get to again…..even friends….

And then also, even myself….for many years I lived for doing *for* everyone else, and I still do, and I think it is important, but I have also learned, and been hit w the reality, of not being someone’s wife, and kids getting older, not that I won’t always be their mom, but they need me *less* — of *who is Laurie, and what does *she* want and what is she *here for*?

Reflection can be a good thing…..do it…..and figure out what your plans are for the rest of your *dash* here on this earth, and what you are doing for you, and what you are doing for others, and what difference you are going to make in the world and the lives of others. <3
