Laurie Delk - author, speaker, coach, trainer

Laurie's life journey is a testament to unwavering faith, entrepreneurial spirit, and the transformative power of resilience. Rooted in a lifelong foundation of Christian values, instilled from her upbringing and a pivotal move from Texas to Middle Tennessee in 1986, Laurie embarked on a path marked by both professional achievement and personal devotion.

In 1993, driven by a profound desire to nurture her growing family, Laurie made a courageous decision to transition from a decade-long, successful career as an accountant at a Fortune 500 company. This pivotal moment, coinciding with her husband's aspiration to pursue his calling in law enforcement, became a catalyst for a life dedicated to purpose and service. Through prayerful consideration, they embraced both paths, demonstrating a commitment to faith-led action.

God has uniquely privileged Laurie to serve Him in numerous capacities over the past few decades. Her entrepreneurial journey began with the inception of her web & graphics, branding, marketing, and design company. Recognizing her talents as gifts to be shared, she pledged to utilize her skills for divine purpose. This commitment manifested in the creation of over a thousand websites, marketing materials, training platforms, and courses for pastors, churches, evangelists, missionaries, colleges, and a diverse range of business clients. Her expertise extended to comprehensive rebranding initiatives, empowering organizations to articulate their vision with clarity and impact.

Beyond her business acumen, Laurie is a prolific author, having penned the best-selling books "Keep Those Clients" and "We All Have Choices," and co-founded the transformative "Gratitude Girls - 100 Day Gratitude Journal Challenge." She has also contributed her insights to three additional publications. As a sought-after motivational speaker and corporate sales trainer, Laurie inspires audiences with her authentic voice and empowering message, often called upon for special speaking engagements around the world. Her dedication to education is further evidenced by her five years of teaching at her children's Christian school and her subsequent decision to homeschool them, allowing her to balance her growing speaking career with her commitment to family.

Her mission to empower women to embrace their God-given potential has taken her across the globe, where she shares her wisdom and encouragement with diverse audiences. Laurie's life, however, has not been without profound challenges. In 2013, she experienced the devastating loss of her children's father in a tragic accident, navigating the complexities of grief while raising her four children, then aged 25, 18, 16, and 12.

Believing in God's guidance for her life, Laurie remarried in April 2020 to Kevin Radecki, following their meeting in December 2019. Laurie prayed for exactly what she wanted in a husband and God showed Himself strong in giving her more than she asked in a God-fearing and God-loving husband.

Laurie's unique experiences over the past few decades provide special insight and encouragement for those who take her courses. Her story is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the transformative power of faith, and the profound impact of living a life dedicated to purpose and service. Her journey inspires others to embrace their own unique paths, to overcome adversity with grace, and to live with unwavering gratitude and purpose.

How to Align Your Inner Guru for Success in Business

Let me ask you, what gurus did you follow and experience in 2021?

Perhaps more importantly, what did you learn, succeed at, and accomplish with the process the guru taught?

Look, I know there are a plethora of gurus all over social media and the internet teaching us ‘self’:

  • Development
  • Awareness
  • Success
  • Improvement

And pretty much it’s all great stuff, but let’s be honest, sometimes it’s not!

Now, I’m not trying to make you feel bad about not being successful with the process your guru taught; it’s not your fault, and most likely, nor is it the gurus’ fault!

You see, here’s the challenge – no one gurus’ process works for everybody, and it’s up to you to find what process works for you with the fundamentals taught.

Interestingly enough, with all the information and gurus found on social media and the internet, studies in the marketplace have found that people are running on information overload that:

  1. Stalls
  2. Confuses
  3. Frustrates

With processes that don’t work or fit our personality, business, or lifestyle.

The reality is that the “one size fits all” theory DOESN’T WORK!

In fact, aligning and implementing your inner guru with the fundamentals you learned is the only way to see your New Year’s goals come to fruition.

What I mean is, internally digging deep and finding your inner guru!

I know this doesn’t sound easy, but it’s pretty simple to access your inner guru with what is called the Promptings Process.
Promptings Process

The ‘promptings process’ is a process that teaches you to allow your inner voice to guide you. (Keep a lookout for Kody Batemans new book The Promptings Process, available in the first quarter of this year.)

Indeed, only you can find your inner guru. The internal voice (inner promptings) tells you who you are, and the outer voice (outer promptings) tells you what to do with who you are.

If this sounds confusing, don’t worry!

My goal is to share some fundamentals, tips, and tools with you to help you through the process of acting on your inner and outer promptings to achieve successful living and business success, in 2022.

Restaurants, clothing stores and more

Restaurant #Restaurants #clothing #shoes #boots

Have you ever seen that show Kitchen Nightmares?
Every week a failing restaurant calls in world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay to help them.
Over the course of the episode, he tears apart everything from the decor to the management to the menu itself, and then he re-opens the restaurant to the general public.
While this makes for great TV…

I have heard it’s actually terrible for the restaurant owners!
Not only do they get embarrassed on national television…
Many also wind up losing their business after the fact anyway!

4/5 restaurants, I read, featured on the show closed – and most of them shut their doors within months of Gordon coming through.

There’s a MUCH better way to help local restaurants – and with my method, you can make recurring monthly income in the process!

Let me explain…

Thousands of birthdays are celebrated every single year in your local area.
That’s why focusing on birthdays is an incredibly effective marketing strategy.
But most small business owners are completely blind to this.

Have a fishbowl to collect name & address for sending greeting cards on their birthday and other special occasions…..(emails & cell to create lists for daily/weekly specials) but on the cards, then also offer them a #FREEGIFT of some sort! Not (what most business owners think) 15% off your meal for your birthday – which says they HAVE to buy something) but something TOTALLY FREE. (another tip, don’t make it that day only, many people have plans w family or whatever, give them a week) Like a FREE desert, or even meal…..(same not requiring anything though! That is the catch! Most business owners don’t want to do it…..just incase some cash in, and a few might…..BUT

when you add a requirement on top of a GIFT, it is NO LONGER a gift!

Many people, like me, you get a card/coupon like that in the mail, you maybe hold on to it, in case you decide to use it, if it is something you really like but many times, you just simply throw it out!

Now, granted, most times, if you give someone a #FREEDESERT or even a #FREEMEAL they are probably not coming in by thierself or only getting that, so they will spend more money w you anyway, but the key is, it wasn’t required!

You didn’t #NEGATE the #GIFT

So now, the restaurant will make more money from the sale for the extra effort. And with my Send Out Cards program, the restaurant could become an #affiliate and earn $ referring their clients too, that choose to sign up, when they get a birthday card, maybe they see, they should send cards to their clients in their company, and so on 🙂

This actually happened to us personally w a #Boot company, sent us a totally no strings gift card – we could have spent just that amount, but of course my husband went online and found something he wanted that was about 10x’s the amount of the gift card that store “gifted” us….Think they thought it was worth it?

So clothing & shoe stores and other shopping can use this same idea as well! If you have questions, contact me!

2 baby Jesus?

About a week before Christmas a family bought a new nativity scene. When they unpacked it they found 2 figures of the Baby Jesus. “Someone must have packed this wrong,” the mother said, counting out the figures. “We have one Joseph, one Mary, three wise men, three shepherds, two lambs, a donkey, a cow, an angel and two babies. Oh, dear! I suppose some set down at the store is missing a Baby Jesus because we have 2.”
“You two run back down to the store and tell the manager that we have an extra Jesus. Tell him to put a sign on the remaining boxes saying that if a set is missing a Baby Jesus, call 7126. Put on your warm coats, it’s freezing cold out there.”

The manager of the store copied down mother’s message and the next time they were in the store they saw the cardboard sign that read, “If you’re missing Baby Jesus, call 7126.” All week long they waited for someone to call. Surely, they thought, someone was missing that important figurine. Each time the phone rang mother would say, “I’ll bet that’s about Jesus,” but it never was.

Father tried to explain there are thousands of these scattered over the country and the figurine could be missing from a set in Florida or Texas or California. Those packing mistakes happen all the time. He suggested just put the extra Jesus back in the box and forget about it.

“Put Baby Jesus back in the box! What a terrible thing to do,” said the children. “Surely someone will call,” mother said. “We’ll just keep the two of them together in the manger until someone calls.

When no call had come by 5:00 on Christmas Eve, mother insisted that father “just run down to the store” to see if there were any sets left. “You can see them right through the window, over on the counter,” she said. “If they are all gone, I’ll know someone is bound to call tonight.”
“Run down to the store?” father thundered. “It’s 15 below zero out there!”

“Oh, Daddy, we’ll go with you,” Tommy and Mary began to put on their coats. Father gave a long sigh and headed for the front closet. “I can’t believe I’m doing this,” he muttered. Tommy and Mary ran ahead as father reluctantly walked out in the cold. Mary got to the store first and pressed her nose up to the store window. “They’re all gone, Daddy,” she shouted. “Every set must be sold.”
“Hooray,” Tommy said. “The mystery will now be solved tonight!”

Father heard the news still a half block away and immediately turned on his heel and headed back home. When they got back into the house they noticed that mother was gone and so was the extra Baby Jesus figurine. “Someone must have called and she went out to deliver the figurine,” my father reasoned, pulling off his boots. “You kids get ready for bed while I wrap mother’s present.”

Then the phone rang. Father yelled “answer the phone and tell ’em we found a home for Jesus.” But it was mother calling with instructions for us to come to 205 Chestnut Street immediately, and bring three blankets, a box of cookies and some milk. “Now what has she gotten us into?” my father groaned as we bundled up again. “205 Chestnut. Why that’s across town. Wrap that milk up good in the blankets or it will turn to ice before we get there. Why can’t we all just get on with Christmas? It’s probably 20 below out there now. And the wind is picking up. Of all the crazy things to do on a night like this.”

When they got to the house at 205 Chestnut Street it was the darkest one on the block. Only one tiny light burned in the living room and, the moment we set foot on the porch steps, my mother opened the door and shouted, “They’re here, Oh thank God you got here, Ray! You kids take those blankets into the living room and wrap up the little ones on the couch. I’ll take the milk and cookies.”
“Would you mind telling me what is going on, Ethel?” my father asked. “We have just walked through below zero weather with the wind in our faces all the way.”
“Never mind all that now,” my mother interrupted. “There isn’t any heat in this house and this young mother is so upset she doesn’t know what to do. Her husband walked out on her and those poor little children will have a very bleak Christmas, so don’t you complain. I told her you could fix that oil furnace in a jiffy.”
My mother strode off to the kitchen to warm the milk while my brother and I wrapped up the five little children who were huddled together on the couch. The children’s mother explained to my father that her husband had run off, taking bedding, clothing, and almost every piece of furniture, but she had been doing all right until the furnace broke down.

“I been doin’ washin’ and ironin’ for people and cleanin’ the five and dime,” she said. “I saw your number every day there, on those boxes on the counter. When the furnace went out, that number kept going’ through my mind. 7162 7162. Said on the box that if a person was missin’ Jesus, they should call you. That’s how I knew you were good Christian people, willin’ to help folks. I figured that maybe you would help me, too. So I stopped at the grocery store tonight and I called your misses. I’m not missin’ Jesus, mister, because I sure love the Lord. But I am missin’ heat. I have no money to fix that furnace.”

“Okay, Okay,” said father. “You’ve come to the right place. Now let’s see. You’ve got a little oil burner over there in the dining room. Shouldn’t be too hard to fix. Probably just a clogged flue. I’ll look it over, see what it needs.”
Mother came into the living room carrying a plate of cookies and warm milk. As she set the cups down on the coffee table, I noticed the figure of Baby Jesus lying in the center of the table. It was the only sign of Christmas in the house. The children stared wide-eyed with wonder at the plate of cookies my mother set before them.
Father finally got the oil burner working but said, “You need more oil. I’ll make a few calls tonight and get some oil. Yes sir, you came to the right place”, father grinned.

On the way home father did not complain about the cold weather and had barely set foot inside the door when he was on the phone. “Ed, hey, how are ya, Ed?”
“Yes, Merry Christmas to you, too. Say Ed, we have kind of an unusual situation here. I know you’ve got that pick-up truck. Do you still have some oil in that barrel on your truck? You do?”
By this time the rest of the family were pulling clothes out of their closets and toys off of their shelves. It was long after their bedtime when they were wrapping gifts. The pickup came. On it were chairs, three lamps, blankets and gifts. Even though it was 30 below, father let them ride along in the back of the truck. No one ever did call about the missing figure in the nativity set, but as I grow older I realize that it wasn’t a packing mistake at all.
Jesus saves, that’s what He does.
