Life is an echo

✨ Life is an echo. ✨
What you send out into the world—through your words, actions, and energy—always finds its way back to you.

Speak kindness, and kindness will return. 💬💕
Sow love, and love will grow. 🌱❤️
Give freely, and abundance will follow. 🎁🙌
See beauty in others, and you’ll discover it within yourself. 👀💫

Every thought, every act, every moment of intention…
It all echoes back. 🌊

So be mindful. Be intentional. Be love. Be light.
Because life is listening, and it’s always reflecting YOU.

🔁 Remember, life is an echo. What you put out is what you receive. Make sure it’s something worth hearing again. 🎯

Treat it like a business

Treat It Like a Business… But Build It Around Your Life

I often hear people say, “If you treated it like a business and not a hobby, you’d find the time.”

Let me be clear—I’ve never treated any of my businesses as a hobby.

For 34 years, I’ve consistently run my web, graphic design, and branding company.
For 24 years, I’ve worked my cards business.
For 20 years, I’ve spoken, coached, and trained others.
For the last 3 years, I’ve poured into building my patch business.
All while leading networking luncheons, supporting police wives, widows, women in business, and sharing gratitude through Gratitude Girls.

And yes—I’ve also been a wife, a homeschool mom, and someone who has grieved great losses, including my late husband, the father of my children.

So here’s the truth I’ve learned through it all:

I never built my businesses instead of my family.
I built them for my family.
And I still do.

Yes, you may hear: “Work hard now so you can enjoy more time with family later.”
But what if “later” never comes?
What if your spouse or child is no longer here?
What will you regret more—missed business milestones or missed moments with those you love?

Family will always be my first priority.
That doesn’t mean I stop building—it means I learn to schedule intentionally.

📅 I schedule time with my husband.
📅 I schedule time with my kids and grandkids.
📅 I schedule spiritual time, personal time, business time, rest time.
Because if it’s not scheduled, it probably won’t happen.

💡 You can build a successful business while prioritizing what truly matters.
💡 You must stay consistent—whether it’s 10 minutes or 10 hours a day.
💡 You should remember your WHY—why you started, who you’re doing this for, and what legacy you want to leave.

Consistency doesn’t mean burning out.
It means not giving up.
It means showing up, over and over, with purpose.

Balance isn’t about perfection.
It’s about priorities.
And for me, that means building businesses around my life—not building my life around my business.

⚠️ Don’t sacrifice the people you love for the success you’re chasing.
📅 Schedule your time with intention.
❤️ Build a business that supports your life—not swallows it.

Beyond Words

Utilizing Nonverbal Communication Effectively.

This explores the impact of eye contact, gestures, posture, and movement in conveying confidence and connecting with the audience.

Beyond Words: Utilizing Nonverbal Communication Effectively

This explores the impact of eye contact, gestures, posture, and movement in conveying confidence and connecting with the audience.

Welcome to Lesson 9, where we discover that your body speaks louder than your words! In “Beyond Words,” we’ll explore the silent but powerful language of nonverbal communication. We’ll dive into the impact of eye contact, gestures, posture, and movement, and show you how to use them to convey confidence, build trust, and forge an authentic connection with your audience. Learn how to transform your body language from a source of nervousness into a tool for engagement and influence.

  • The Silent Symphony: Understand why nonverbal communication is a critical part of your message, often conveying more than your spoken words.
  • The Power of the Gaze: Learn how to use effective eye contact to connect with individuals and build immediate trust.
  • Gestures with Purpose: Discover how to use natural, open, and purposeful gestures to add energy and emphasis to your points.
  • Confident Posture: Master the art of standing tall and open to project authority and approachability.
  • Intentional Movement: Explore how to use movement on stage strategically to transition between ideas and engage your entire audience.

Connection: While not directly about communication, “haughty spirit” often manifests in nonverbal cues like arrogant posture, a raised chin, or dismissive gestures. This verse indirectly highlights how certain nonverbal displays (like haughtiness) can convey negative internal states and lead to undesirable outcomes, reinforcing the idea that our nonverbals communicate powerful messages about our inner character and attitude.

Proverbs 6:12-13: “A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;”

Connection: This verse is a classic biblical example of nonverbal communication. It explicitly describes how actions—winking eyes, speaking feet, teaching fingers—convey a message, in this case, a negative one. This directly supports the idea that our bodies are constantly communicating, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and that these nonverbal cues are a powerful part of how we convey meaning.

Psalm 24:3-4: “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

Connection: While primarily spiritual, “clean hands” can be interpreted as a metaphor for actions and outward demeanor that align with inner purity. In a broader sense, it suggests that our outward presentation (including posture and gestures) should be congruent with our internal state and message, conveying integrity and sincerity. “Clean hands” (actions) are part of the overall presentation of character.

Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

What are you making excuses for?

📌 What are you making excuses for?
🙋‍♀️ Ministry?
💼 Business?
💍 Marriage?
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family?
💫 Life?

Be honest—are you holding back because it didn’t go perfectly the first time?

Remember when you were learning to walk, fell, and said…
“I quit—crawling’s not so bad”?
Yeah, me neither—because you got back up.
We laugh now, but that mindset can still sneak in.

Stop settling. Stop excusing. Start moving forward.
You’re not meant to crawl through life—try again. You’ve got this.

🛑 Stop making excuses.
🔁 Start again.
💪 You were made to move forward.

The tiny seed knew

To grow, it had to be dropped in dirt, buried in darkness, and push through struggle to reach the light.

But here’s the truth:
Not all seeds make it. 💔
Many give up just before breaking through. They stay hidden beneath the surface — never blooming, never fulfilling their God-given purpose.

✨ Where are YOU in your journey?
Have you been planted… but not yet pushed through?
Are you tempted to stop before the breakthrough?

💡Remember this:
Your gift was meant to be shared.
Your growth will bless others.
Your story can light the path for someone else.

🌟 Don’t give up.
🌟 Keep trying.
🌟 Keep pushing.
🌟 Keep moving forward.

You were planted for a reason. Let the world see you bloom. 💛

Bringing Your Speech to Life: Mastering Vocal Delivery

Bringing Your Speech to Life: Mastering Vocal Delivery

This covers crucial elements like volume, pitch variation (intonation), rate, pauses, and articulation to add dynamism and keep the audience engaged.

Welcome to Lesson 8, where we turn your words into a powerful performance! In “Bringing Your Speech to Life,” you’ll learn that your voice is your most dynamic instrument. We’ll dive into the crucial elements of vocal delivery: volume, pitch, rate, pauses, and articulation. This lesson will show you how to intentionally wield these tools to add emotion, emphasis, and engagement, ensuring your message doesn’t just get heard, but truly resonates and leaves a lasting impression on your audience.

  • Beyond the Words: Understand why vocal delivery is a powerhouse, conveying confidence, passion, and credibility before your words even register.
  • The Vocal Toolkit: Learn to control your volume (for power), your pitch (to avoid monotone), and your rate (to create rhythm and emphasis).
  • The Power of Silence: Discover how strategic pauses are not dead air, but a powerful tool to build suspense and allow your audience to process key information.
  • Speak with Clarity: Get tips on how to improve your articulation and ensure every word you say is crisp, clear, and easy to understand.
  • Practice with Purpose: Learn how to practice your vocal delivery to create a dynamic, engaging, and unforgettable experience for your listeners.
  • Ecclesiastes 12:10: “The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.”
    • Connection: This verse speaks to the effort (“sought to find out”) to use “acceptable words” and “words of truth.” While it primarily refers to content, “acceptable words” can also imply words that are well-delivered and received by the audience, considering factors like clarity and impact. It suggests intentionality in how words are presented to be both true and well-received.
  • Proverbs 15:23: “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!”
    • Connection: This verse highlights the positive effect of a “word spoken in due season.” This isn’t just about the content being relevant, but also about the timing and delivery. A “word in due season” implies appropriate rate, pauses, and tone that make it effective and bring “joy” to the listener. It emphasizes the how of communication.
  • Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
    • Connection: While a prayer, this verse connects the internal thought (“meditation of my heart”) with the external expression (“words of my mouth”). For vocal delivery, it implies a desire for the spoken word to be well-formed, pleasing, and effective (“acceptable”), which aligns with mastering elements like articulation, volume, and intonation to ensure the message is delivered powerfully and received well.
